There are plasticplugs at both ends of the shaft of a Pinion gearbox. Remove them now !
It is a plasticplug which is there only for the looks. However, you need a very large and very heavy 12m (!!!) allen hexkey to get it out. It could even be 16mm, I am not sure anymore. As you might guess hardly anybody has such a huge allenkey available.
The problem is you have to remove that plug to get the crancks off. So whenever you have to do a job to the sprocket or it's lockingring. Then Houston has a problem ...
